Masada

Qumran
About 60 years ago, a shepherd stumbled across some pottery jars in a cave. Inside the jars, perfectly preserved by the dry air for over two thousand years were the earliest known examples of the some of the books of the Old Testament – from the time of Jesus himself. The scrolls can now been seen in the Hebrew Museum, Jerusalem.
